A Note from the Evaluation Committee

The Children’s Brittle Bone Foundation (CBBF) / Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF) Jeanie Coleman Impact Grant provides direct support to individuals and families living with OI in need of equipment or services that will improve their quality of life. Each year we receive hundreds of applications and are only able to grant a fraction of your worthy requests. Our commitment to you is that every application will be carefully reviewed and thoughtfully considered.

We have included a timeline below that seeks to further explain the Children’s Brittle Bone Foundation / Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation Jeanie Coleman Impact Grant process.

Eligibility Checklist

OI Diagnosis

Financial need – if application is chosen as a finalist, income verification will be required.

Request improves the applicant’s quality of life.

Grant must be used within 12 months or less.

Applicant must be a United States resident, and funds may only be allocated within the United States.

Note: If an application is chosen as a finalist, income verification and OI diagnosis verification will be required.

Restrictions on User of Funds

While we understand the need for the following services, the CBBF / OIF Jeanie Coleman Impact Grant Program does NOT cover the following items or services currently.

Plumbing

Invasive Dental Care

While invasive dental care is not covered under the impact grant program, non-invasive dental interventions (due to OI) (i.e.: orthodontic treatment such as braces) are covered.

Therapy or Service Animals

Existing Debts or Reimbursement

If you are seeking funding for an accessible vehicle, you must have a valid driver’s license at the time you complete this application.
